Aris ditches Delorte

By: Peter Katsiris | December 24th, 2008

Aris FC has parted company with Alejandro Delorte, as the Argentine was given his marching orders out of the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium earlier this week.

Switching native Argentina and Argentinos Juniors for Greece and ‘O Theos tou Polemou’, Delorte was expected to make a big impact just like Aris was among the traditional big three clubs in Greece. Despite making four appearances in the club’s first five fixtures of the season, Spanish manager Enrique Hernandez was not fond of his Argentinean striker.

The club announced Delorte’s departure from the club on its official website earlier this week: “Aris FC would like to announce the termination of the contract with Alejandro Delorte.”

Delorte’s release comes shortly after Aris let Marco Aurelio go, which also tips the Thessaloniki club to a busy transfer period next month.

ahaha I guess Aris isn’t the only one who thinks so!

Notice the problem with Greek clubs, many of the less prestigious sides believe by just transferring Argentinean and Brazilian players they will have a successful squad. Just look at Aris’ roster, they can be deemed with nickname ‘Brasil-aris’
